Dosage
3-6 tablets per day depending on your needs.
The tablets may be taken at once or throughout the day, ideally before meals.
Gradual dosing at first: one tablet per day on the first two days, followed by an increase of one tablet each day until the desired dose is reached.
For dieters
As part of a weight-loss plan, dieters should take Spirulina with a large glass of water 30 minutes before mealtime.
Adults: 3-6 tablets/day – Children: 1-3 tablets/day
Warnings
For those receiving anticoagulant treatment: Spirulina may increase the effects of this treatment.
For diabetics: Spirulina has a regulating effect upon blood sugar levels and may strengthen the effects of insulin therapy or synthetic treatments used to lower blood sugar levels. In either case, you should inform your physician that you are taking Spirulina.
A final word of advice…
You might want to take Spirulina with a glass of fruit juice. This will make it even easier for your body to absorb certain components, such as iron.
